Al Gore gets a standing ovation. Protests lead to headlines stolen from Hamlet. Yes, yes, something's rotten in the state of Denmark, we get it. But flitting around Twitter, we stumbled upon this editorial about Copenhagen which asks the question: Why aren't we focusing on research and development of green technologies, instead of barking up the same emissions-reduction tree all the time? The writer, Bjorn Lomborg, argues that money channeled into R&D would actually stand a chance of solving our problems.
Lomborg also points out that developing nations express more concern over disease control than climate control, and he asserts that funding for climate change comes out of the international aid kitty.
Just another point of view on a very hot topic.
