Climate talks in Copenhagen have skipped the issue of food, according to the head of the U.N.'s food agency (Food & Agriculture Organization, or FAO). Jacques Diouf points out the obvious in his interview with Reuters, which is that agriculture is degrading lands and contributing to climate change. But it hasn't been discussed, he says.
"Roughly around 31 percent of emissions come from agriculture ..." Diouf points out, but the talks have centered around industry. The full story here.
