But what about the preschool and day care set?
A UK group is crying foul over sweets and sugary "foods" being fed to British toddlers. (Via Treehugger). Which leads us to wonder about the United States and Wisconsin ... are day care centers and preschools under any official obligation to ensure healthy snacking? Is funding available?
Well, it turns out a USDA program, run by Wisconsin's department of Public Instruction, makes funds available to registered day care centers to offset the costs of "nutritious meals and snacks." Worth looking into, if your child attends day care.
